MacVector allows you to design various types of primers for both PCR and for sequencing. It also allows you to test existing primers that you have manually designed.
The Primers section has five submenu commands that provide access to the analyses. The easiest to use is the Design Primers (Primer3) option. However, QuickTest Primer provides an innovative way of realtime design of primers with support for adding tails with mismatches and restriction sites and much more.
