Copy

The Copy command enables you to copy a selected sequence range (in addition to the corresponding feature table information) and save it to the Clipboard. This information can later be inserted into another sequence or into the same sequence at a different location using the Paste command. The sequence range without the associate feature table information can also be transfered to another application such as a word processor.

The Copy command can also be used to copy the contents of any MacVector results window to the Clipboard for pasting into other applications.

When the copy command is used from the Map View, the map is copied to the clipboard in PDF format. This can be pasted into any OS X application that supports PDF. See Graphical Output Options for more details.

When the copy command is used from the Map View and restriction sites are selected. Or a restriction analysis has been performed and two sites are again selected, then the sequence is coped along with the recognition sites. This can be used to replicate cloning experiments. See Graphical Output Options for more details.
