The Cut command removes the currently selected sequence range (in addition to the corresponding feature table information) from the frontmost editing window. This information can later be inserted into another sequence window of the same type or into the same sequence window at a different location by using the Paste command. The sequence range without the associated feature table information can also be transfered to another application such as a word processor via the Clipboard. The Cut command is only enabled if the current sequence window is unlocked.
