Multiple Sequence Files

MacVector can open, create and export files containing multiple sequences. You can use MacVector to align multiple sequences and store the results in a single file.

Multiple sequence alignments may come from one of several sources. MacVector can generate a multiple sequence alignment (MSA) automatically, by means of a ClustalW analysis. Alternatively, you can open a pre-calculated alignment which has been generated by another program such as the GCG Wisconsin Package PileUp command. You can also create a completely new alignment, by importing sequence data into a new MSA editor window, or typing in the residues manually.
