How do I make a permanent note of where my primer binds on a sequence.

Once you have designed a pair of primers with MacVector, you can quickly annotate both the primers and product to your sequence template. The annotation contains a timestamp and the primer’s characteristics. It also contains the full sequence of the primer, which means any custom ends (with mismatches or new restriction sites) are also included.

  1. Design a pair of primers
  2. Switch to the primer Map results tab
  3. Select a primer and drag and drop it onto your template sequence.
  4. You can also drag and drop the product.
  5. Alternatively right click on the primer and select "Create Prim_bind"
